My husband and I contacted Ramseys office to see about help with a legal matter. We were told we would be contacted for a over the phone consultation and that consultation would be $40.00. Ok. We receive a call from a lady who would be handling the case. We give her a run down of what happened, what we want to try and do to resolve the situation. She says she has no idea what that involves, statutes etc and she would have to call us back in a couple of days. They then charged us 40.00 for that "consultation" , which was not even a consultation because she did not say what services she could or could not provide us. A week goes by, my husband calls and she has left early for the day. Half another week goes by and he calls again. He is then met with a unprofessional story of they're understaffed, the woman on the phone hasn't even been able to eat for 3 days because they have been so busy and she will have to get back to us. At this time i call another law firm in the area. She tells me exactly what the process will be how we will try route A and of not we will take route B but overall its pretty clear what we need done and that it can easily be done before the year is over. She gives me her retainer price after the free half hour detailed consultation. We pay her and 48 hours have the process already started. At this point 2 weeks aftet initial contact with Ramseys office the lady calls back to say its to intricate a case to take on but she will refer us to a college who wants over 500 more for a retainer then the lawyer who already has the process started. Not only did they keep our 40.00, they gave us no information, delayed us in taking action and were completely unprofessional at each contact. So dissapointed.
