The fact that after they discovered a cyst on my spinal cord that was the source of my pain. They still were trying to get me to take long term pain medication instead of removing the cyst causing my pain. I had to push them to even get them to talk about option for cyst removal. It's clear they just wanted to keep me around on treatment forever to get the most possible billables.
I was repeatedly offered narcotic medication at every visit, even though I had explained to the staff, the life threatening respiratory depression that I was hospitalized for when previously give them. As well informing them of a family history of narcotic drug addiction.
I made the mistake of going here but you don't have to. This is not a good facility or doctor to see. They are a nationwide chain, and do not care for their patents. They are only interested in making as much money off you as possible. Under no circumstances should any person go here.
What really upsets me however is after I tried a cortisone injection and did not react well to it. The staff continued to suggest it. When I went in for a synovial cyst aspiration, I was given a cortisone injection as well. Without my knowledge or consent. When I set up that treatment I was also offered the cortisone injection. I gave both the nurse and doctor specific instructions NOT to give me the cortisone injection, yet it was still done.
Afterward when I spoke with the office manager about this she seemed to understand, and told me she would have it taken care of. Yet I still received a bill for the unwanted cortisone injection. I repeatedly tried to contact both the billing office and office manager but they never took my calls.
Instead I received a letter from the cooperate head office risk management team stating that I consented to the cortisone injection. And was never, not even once, offered narcotic pain medication. Which seeing as how this is a pain management clinic that deals primarily with narcotics to manage pain, and I had to sign a narcotic drug contract before even seeing a doctor, it is ludicrous to say I was not offered narcotics.
Dr. Khan should have his license revoked.
