Dr Chartier may be okay for pain meds, not sure because I went to him for treatment of my tick born infections. Something he treats on the side. He is suppose to be ILADS trained, but seemed to know very little about how to properly treat the infectionS. There are more than one that I am positive for, yet he just wanted to focus on that one infection with unusually low doses of antibiotics. One antibiotic at a time rather than the routine combinations, far from the guidelines associated with ILADS. The wait time went far beyond my tolerability, over an hour, yet the appointment was short and lame. No apology what so ever! He dragged in there like someone that had to be there rather than someone that wanted to be. There are other high paying jobs out there for people like that. I am tired enough, I do not need to be dragged down by lifeless personalities. He seems unknowledgeable and uncaring. Did not explain any thing, but when he did, he obviously did not know what he was talking about. He did not seem to understand what I was going through at all. I was not there for opioids, yet was treated as such. Very offensive to me given my opposition. I handle my pain with Ibuprofen at most, something I think everyone should learn to do. Overall, he just seems very unmotivated and inconsiderate and I would not recommend.
I have been to Dr. Chartier, multiple times. He is the best doctor, he takes time with you, he cares about your pain and he will continue to work with you no matter what it takes. He fixed a pain that couldn't be fixed and he made a diagnose within 5 min on something else that two specialist couldn't determine from the same MRI they looked at. I recommend him to anyone I can. I would be sedative in a chair if it wasn't for Dr. Chartier.
